My Post-Summer Skincare Routine

After Summer Skincare

Summer is not over yet, but the sun is not as strong and as the children go back to school my days at the lake and long hours of sun baking are gone. It’s time to start thinking of giving my skin a little extra tlc.

I’ll still be applying sun cream on the sunny days (now I’m mixing it 50:50 with my moisturizer) but in the evenings I’ll be doing this routine a couple of times per week to nourish my sun parched skin.

Hibiscus & Hyaluronic Flower Water – sun damage leads to surface dehydration of the skin and so hyaluronic acid (read about it on the product page here) is our skin’s best ally right now. Also containing vitamin C rich hibiscus and rejuvenating frankincense, spritz this generously under any face oil or moisturizer.

Argan & Frankincense Facial Oil – this face oil has been my no.1 best seller since day one. It is my go-to for any time my skin needs love. Neroli and frankincense essential oils are my favourite oils for skin repair and rejuvenation. Apply this every evening for soft, healthy skin.

This is also a great time of year to think about some whole-body cleansing. After a summer of over-indulging (gelato and prosecco are my weaknesses this time of year!) I’m switching to primarily plant-based food, herbal teas in the morning and once the children are settled into school I’m planning a cleanse using fresh juices. I’ll let you know how I get on!
